In Jesus is Life

Jesus the Son of God - Mystery?

The Mystery Spoken of in the scriptures is revealed little by little from the Old Testament to the New Testament.
  KJV Genesis 1
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the       face of the waters.

And...................

  KJV Genesis 1
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:

Notice in the passages above there is an appearance of plurality.  God  and the Spirit of God appear in the  Creation event where the Spirit of God moving over the new creation.  In Genesis God speaks into existance his creation,  and The Spirit of God is either witnessing, or delighting in the actions of the word truth.

The Mystery is further revealed in  Genesis.  Abraham was visited by three men, one of which he worshipped and called him Lord.

  KJV Genesis 18

  1 And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent         door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant

The next example of the Mystery, the phrase  "Son of God"  is revealed.

  KJV Daniel 3
25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the                fourth is like the Son of God.

In Amos secrets (and Mysteries) will be revealed.

  KJV Amos 3
6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?          7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

KJV Isaiah 53 prophecy speaks about the coming and sacrifice of the Lord Jesus.

In the New Testament there references to the Mystery.

  KJV Romans 16

25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the                    revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began

  KJV Mark 4
11 And He was saying to them, "To you has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God, but those who are outside get                      everything in parables,

  KJV Luke 8
10 And He said, "To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is in parables, so that         SEEING THEY MAY NOT SEE, AND HEARING THEY MAY NOT UNDERSTAND.

The revealing of the mystery of the Church as the bride of Christ Jesus.

  KJV Ephesians 5

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

  25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy            and without blemish.

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32 This is a great mystery : but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

The mystery?   God/spirit/man(Jesus/Yeshua) came from heaven to the people of God to cleanse and make Holy (sanctify) His elect whom He loves in order to become one with us in a wedding like context.  This is a Holy union that God desires for himself.  He died for His people whom He loves that we may reign with Him.  Maranatha.
